We hope you all had a great summer, took loads of wonderful photographs and are all ready to return to the club. We have an amazing programme of events scheduled for the next 8 months.
This includes:
a range of interesting and inspiring lectures covering topics such as High Speed Photography, Aviation Photography, Landscapes, Travel, Nature and Portraiture.
A number of opportunities to bring your camera and take some pictures, such as portraits, birds of prey, still life and high speed photography
Our usual internal league, external and fun competitions.

Our first night back, on Monday 2nd September and starting at 7:30pm, is the Inter-Club Photographic Alliance (ICPA) Annual Lecture, hosted by Chorley PS.
This is a special event to start us off for the year and our guest speaker will be Alex Benyan. Alex is a professional photographer, educator and speaker based in Leicester and a Principal Photographer for Sony. He specialises in commercial and corporate portraits and takes inspiration from photographers and artists from all over the world. He is also very much a people person and loves working with individuals and teams to achieve the best results from their photoshoot through gentle posing guidance and personality coaching at every session.
In addition to a buffet to keep us all fed, Wilkinsons Cameras will also be bringing a range of Sony Cameras and lenses for us.
This evening has an entry fee of £2, which is set by the ICPA. However, Chorley PS will pay this fee for members of the club.
If you are not a member, or have not renewed your membership, then now would be a great time to do it. Just head over to our website and rejoin there. Martin Coupe, our Membership Secretary, will also be on hand on Monday to help people join/rejoin on the night.
Monday is also the closing date for our first competition, the Creative Print Competition. Entries should be made online in our Competition portal and Prints handed in on Monday.
