For any members wishing to travel to the annual North Cheshire Challenges later this week, please note that these have been cancelled this year due to the risk posed by Coronavirus. A statement from North Cheshire Photographic Society read as follows:
"The NCPS committee have very reluctantly taken the decision to cancel all our future meetings and events until further notice. This includes the cancellation of our inter-club competitions, the North Cheshire Challenges, which were scheduled to take place on Wednesday and Thursday of this coming week (18th & 19th March). The decision has been taken in light of the worsening virus situation of course, and the recommendation that large gatherings should be avoided.
Can you please ensure that any of your members and friends who had intended to join us at Poynton are made aware of the cancellations. I would appreciate your confirmation that you have received this e-mail and have taken steps to avoid any potentially wasted journeys by your members.
Our thanks to all the clubs who have submitted entries for the competitions. These are already loaded on our system and ready to go so we are hoping to find an alternative date in the future when it would be possible to re-arrange the events without putting anyone at risk."
