December at the Club

As we enter December maybe you would like to try to photograph festive scenes in the local area or with your own friends and family.

At Chorley Photographic Society, our 2025-6 programme continues in December as follows: 

01 Dec     Creative Print Competition

The images from this comp will help to create our selection for the annual Martin Avery Creative Print competititon in 2026.

Judge: Jane Lazenby

Jane works as a professional photographer and artist specialising in creating images of people and horses.

She also runs equine based workshops that help to build a portfolio, check out her website. 

08 Dec  President’s Competition Final Hand-in

Theme 1: Design a Christmas card

Theme 2: Images inspired by a painting

This evening will be a tribute evening to Boyd Harris, a former member of Chorley PS who sadly passed away in July. He was a member of the Club for over 50 years. Boyd was always passionate about local history as well as being an enthusiastic photographer. It is hoped that some of his prints will be on show tonight.

15 Dec    President’s Competition and Christmas Social for Members

Our final meeting of 2025. 

Judge: President Jane Lines MPAGB LRPS BPE5* AWPF Hon LCPU

This promises to be an entertaining evening – two competitions to be judged by Jane and some delicious food.
